A LIVING DISPLAY COMPANION FOR MAC

A little presence for the screen beside you.

Bytesized Eyes turns a small second Mac display into an animated companion—eyes that blink, look around, and gently change with the rhythm of your computer.

Made for a little screen

Use the compact HDMI or USB-C display already sitting by your Mac. Bytesized Eyes can find that companion display, fill it cleanly, and return after you sign in.

Choose your cast

The current paid download is 0.9.7, with 13 Classic, Robot, and Firefly personalities. Updated artwork on this website previews the upcoming 0.10.0 version and its 19 personalities, including the six new Storybook characters. The new version is not yet delivered after purchase.

A note about the beta name

Bytesized Eyes is the public product name. During this beta, the installed app and installer still display RetroPresence while the Mac distribution identity remains stable. The experience inside is the same.

The current beta is for Apple-silicon Macs running macOS 13 or later. A small secondary display is recommended.

Bytesized Eyes is independent software, not affiliated with or endorsed by Wokyis or Apple. Hardware is not included.
